It’s been a long and seemingly endless journey, but we’ve finally found the developer that we’ve been looking for. I am happy to announce the newest Night Owl: Nathan Hallford. Although this was strictly a back-end development position, we loved the fact that Nathan is completely fluent in both back-end and front-end development.

Nathan is what I’d like to call a true “Jack of all trades” in LAMP development. All of his professional experience has been in PHP and he has experience working with many different frameworks including Zend, Cake and CI as well as other open source CMS such as Drupal or WordPress. This makes him a very flexible developer when it comes to PHP (which is 90% of what we do anyway). He is able to choose the right platform he needs to build every project efficiently and he is able to pick up on new platforms pretty quickly.

Nathan has experience working in part of large teams for MTV and ESPN as well as working on building an application from scratch on his own. He can be a great team player, but is autonomous as well. He will be a core part of our team as we develop our first product as well as many new projects to come in the future.
